Purchasing a car is always exciting regardless if the vehicle is brand new or used. These types of warranties for used cars are viewed as the most appealing. The dealership will give you all the necessary documentation and information on what the original warranty covers and when it expires. They will also handle transferring the warranty to your name.
If you don’t have the luxury of purchasing a car that falls into this category you still have options. Some car dealerships have their own used car warranty offer in place. Normally they will have several different plans that you can choose from. Each of these used car warranties covers different things and costs will vary depending on the coverage. If you want an all-inclusive type extended used car warranty that includes such features as a substitute rental car and road side assistance that is going to cost more than one that just covers the power train.
Car repairs can be incredibly expensive and if you’ve just purchased a vehicle you certainly don’t want to invest any additional money in it. A used car warranty will afford you peace of mind and will help cushion the cost should you ever find yourself with car trouble. Just look at the money spent on the warranty as insurance against high mechanical repair costs.
